Updates and Happenings

• Forcey Bible Church is sponsoring the free event, Trunk or Treat, tomorrow from 4-5:30 pm. Trunk or Treat is a fun and family friendly event for kids and their families, featuring costumes and candy! To find out more information go to, www.forcey.org/trunkortreat

• Operation Christmas Child is back by popular demand!! Our donation dates are November 15 and 16. This is a school wide service project, and the students are excited to participate. It’s simple! Next week OCC boxes will be distributed here at FCS. The next time you are at Walmart or Target, shop to fill up your box with an approved item. • The FCS Library Book Fair is Back! The 2022-23 book fair will take place the week before Thanksgiving (11/14-11/18). Look for more information from Mrs. Groom! This is a great opportunity to get some early Christmas shopping done!

Mark Your Calendar 

• Keep up with important dates on our website calendar all year long at https://fcs.school/calendar
• Next Friday, November 4, is a half day for students. Teachers will use this time for end of quarter preparations. Please note, no first quarter work will be accepted after Friday, November 4. The school office will close at 2:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 4.
• Thursday, November 10 is a half day for students. Friday, November 11, is a no school day for students. These days are set aside for parent teacher conferences.
• FCS Book Fair 11/14-11/18.
• November 21-25 FCS will be closed for Thanksgiving Break.
• December 19-30 FCS will be closed for Christmas Break.

Mr. Lawrence shared devotions this week to the staff. He read from 1 Corinthians 15:58. He encouraged the staff not to grow tired in our ministry work here. Stand firm, press on, and know that our labor is not in vain while we do Kingdom work.  

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.~1 Corinthians 15:58
