• Operation Christmas Child is back by popular demand!! Our donation dates are November 15 and 16. This is a school wide service project, and the students are excited to participate. It’s simple! Next week OCC boxes will be distributed here at FCS. The next time you are at Walmart or Target, shop to fill up your box with an approved item. For information on what to pack go to https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/ Let’s get 100% participation for this school-wide service project!
• Elementary students have been participating in a service project to benefit Sarah’s House Homeless Shelter in Howard County. Together, the elementary students collected over 1,100 pairs of socks! I’m so proud of how our students stepped up to help those less fortunate.
• The FCS Library Book Fair is coming soon! The 2022-23 book fair will take place the week before Thanksgiving (11/14-11/18). Look for more information from Mrs. Groom! This is a great opportunity to get some early Christmas shopping done! Volunteers are needed! Contact hannah-groom@fcs.school.

Mark Your Calendar  

• Keep up with important dates on our website calendar all year long at https://fcs.school/calendar
• Today, Friday, November 4, was a half day for students. Teachers used this time for end of quarter preparations. Please note, no first quarter work will be accepted after Friday, November 4. The school office will close at 2:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 4.
• Thursday, November 10 is a half day for students. Friday, November 11, is a no school day for students. These days are set aside for parent teacher conferences.
• FCS Book Fair 11/14-11/18.
• November 21-25 FCS will be closed for Thanksgiving Break.
• December 19-30 FCS will be closed for Christmas Break.
