- A big thank you to all those who have donated and worked to secure donations to our annual Fun Run Raiser to benefit the Forcey Forward Annual Fund. - This is the last day to check out the lost and found items in the main hall. All lost and found items will be donated next week during Thanksgiving break.
From the Office:
- After 27 years at Forcey Christian School, both as a teacher and in our FCS business office, Mrs. Joanne Heater is retiring. She and her husband are building a retirement home and moving out of the area. Her last day at FCS will be January 12, 2024. We will greatly miss her and appreciate all of her dedication and great work here at FCS. - During the weeks before Christmas, you can get some of your Christmas shopping done while supporting our school! Please spread the word to family and friends to join our program. Raise Right is fundraising while you shop! It is a no-selling program that allows families to raise money for their non-profit organization. It is another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks and credit cards.https://fcs.school/raise-right-fundraising/ The RaiseRight Gift Guides are attached. - Student picture retakes will be conducted on Wednesday, December 6. If you are interested in a retake for your student, please contact carla-boxill@fcs.school.

- November 20 – 24 is our Thanksgiving Holiday Break. There will be no school that week.
- December 20 – January 2, FCS will be closed for Christmas break. School resumes on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
- January 14, 2024 is a no school holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr. day.
- January 19, 2024 is the end of the second quarter and a half day for students.
- February 19, 2024 is a no school holiday for President’s Day.
- March 25-April 1 is Easter Break. School resumes on Tuesday, April 2.
Service Update!
We are once again partnering with Image Makers Ministries on their Toy Mania Christmas toy drive to benefit the students at our adopted school in inner city Baltimore. You can help by purchasing a gift from their wish list. https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/PS91IGTT7KD7
- Gifts should be delivered to FCS at 2130 E. Randolph Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904 between now and Monday, December 11. https://www.imagemakersministries.com/.
- Students will also have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus by sorting and organizing toys and even delivering gifts to the students!
Some additional details:
- The ages of the students range from 3-14 years old.
- Families are free to purchase toys/gifts apart from Amazon. We just ask that they are age-appropriate, that they are not “scary,” and that they are brand new. We also would appreciate avoiding anything that could be perceived as a weapon (guns, for example)
November is here!! This month let’s work to be purposeful about being thankful every day not only on Thanksgiving Day. Let’s have a thankful perspective that others can see and hear!
