From the Office:
- After 27 years at Forcey Christian School, both as a teacher and in our FCS business office, Mrs. Joanne Heater is retiring. She and her husband are building a retirement home and moving out of the area. Her last day at FCS will be January 12, 2024. We will greatly miss her and appreciate all of her dedication and great work here at FCS. We have posted the open position on our website at https://fcs.school/student-accounts-manager-administrative-assistant/ Interested candidates should send their resume to cheri-vislay@fcs.school.
- As colder weather moves in, please remember to send your student with the appropriate clothing and outerwear for outdoor recess. At FCS, we feel it is best for children to get an outdoor break in the middle of the day to run, move, and get fresh air. Most days, students will go outside. Also remember to label your student’s coats and fleece jackets.
- My Day Out at Forcey Bible Church has both job opportunities and a few spaces available in our 2’s and 3’s classes. MDO is for 2- and 3-year old’s, designed to give caregivers time off and children a structured time away from their primary caregivers. This gives them time to play cooperatively with other children and prepare them for preschool. Our teachers are loving, Christian women who have a heart for children. MDO offers playtime, snack, Bible stories, singing, and craft time. We are open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am-1pm from mid-September to mid-May. If you are interested in applying for a position or registering for a spot, email Kelly Herndon at mdo@forcey.org or visit us online at www.forcey.org/mdo.

Some additional details:
- The ages of the students range from 3-14 years old.
- Families are free to purchase toys/gifts apart from Amazon. We just ask that they are age-appropriate, that they are not “scary,” and that they are brand new. We also would appreciate avoiding anything that could be perceived as a weapon (guns, for example

November is here!! This month, let’s work to be purposeful about being thankful each day and not just leave it for Thanksgiving Day. Let’s have a thankful perspective that others can see and hear!
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Have a great weekend!
