FCS News Friday Header

We have had a great second week of school. I’ve noticed that morning arrival times have been smooth, staff are processing students quickly and parents are getting on their way faster. Thank you, parents, for your part in this. I know mornings are busier than ever for you getting your little ones out the door and yourselves off to work. Thank you!

We are excited to welcome Mr. Terrance Lawrence, our new assistant principal, on Monday, September 13. Please check my email from yesterday to read his official welcome letter and bio.

  • When your middle school student arrives after 8:12 am and your elementary student arrives after 8:30 am, they are considered late. Parents will need to complete a late pass which can be found at the bottom of our homepage or at: https://fcs.school/wp-content/themes/smartschool-parent-resources/late-pass/ This can be done anywhere from your smart phone. If your child needs to be picked up early for any reason, please complete the early pick up/dismissal form at https://fcs.school/wp-content/themes/smartschool-parent-resources/early-dismissal/or at the bottom of our homepage. This notifies the office and your child’s teacher so we can have the child ready for you when you arrive.
  • Forcey Christian School is excited to partner with All About Lunch for our lunch services. Go to their website at https://www.lunchboxprogram.com/ and set up your student’s lunch account. They have flexible options. You can sign up for 1 day or 5 days a week.
  • We welcome Ms. Jamie Nykiel as our new 4-8th grade band teacher. She officially started this week with middle school elective classes. She begins after school 4th and 5th grade beginning band on Monday, September 27. Information will be coming out soon from Mrs. Heater regarding after school band and other after school club opportunities for the fall.

This morning Mr. Stewart led staff devotions from Psalm 25. He encouraged us to wait actively not passively on the Lord. We all wait on the Lord for something. As we wait, let’s actively work to trust God that He is working all things for the good and for His good plans. This takes work and constant redirecting of our thoughts. Praying continually and trusting in His love for us. Remembering all that He has done in the past and ways He has already provided.

Have a great weekend!
