FCS News Friday HeaderUpdates and Happenings

  • Sadly, we had to postpone our Fun Run Raiser previously scheduled for today. Blackbaud seems to be having a major issue with their give now links. As soon as we have a re-scheduled date, we will communicate with the community. Thank you to all those who already donated, attempted to donate, and/or reached out to let us know of the problem.

Life gets so busy. It’s easy to let life’s challenges become so monumental that we lose our joy. Jesus encourages us in Matthew 6 not to worry or be anxious about our lives. That God cares deeply for us and knows what we need.

Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and all these thing will be added unto you.

~Matthew 6:25-27, 32-33
