• Parent Feedback Survey Opportunity: Our vision at FCS is To train-up future generations of servant-leaders, who impact their world spiritually, intellectually, and socially, while leading lives that bring glory to Jesus Christ. How are we doing? We need your feedback and input to answer this very important question. Please take a few moments to share your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions. Below is a link to our 2023-2024 parent survey. Your responses are completely anonymous. Your invaluable feedback helps to shape the heart and soul of our Christian school community. As you can imagine, all suggestions cannot be implemented, however, we value all feedback. • As a reminder, please complete the absence form online when your student is missing school, for each day that they are absent. Forcey Parent Resources – Forcey Christian School (fcs.school) If they are missing school due to illness that are communicable in nature, you would contact the nurse in addition.
• Dismissal Alert: Please ensure you are parking in an actual, lined parking spot and walking up to your child’s teacher for safe and secure handoff. Stopping your car in the driving lanes prevents people from exiting their parking spot and results in children walking unattended in the parking lot. It also blocks driving lanes and creates an unsafe environment. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

• Pizza Friday Dates for the Semester are: 2/23, 3/1, 3/15, 4/19, 4/29, 5/10, and 5/24. Please mark them on your calendar.

• Keep up with important dates on our website calendar all year long at https://fcs.school/calendar.
• February 19, 2024, is a no school holiday for President’s Day.
• Friday, March 8 school will be closed for staff professional development.
• The end of the third quarter is Friday, March 22,2024. No third-quarter work will be accepted after this date.
• March 25-April 1 is Easter Break. School resumes on Tuesday, April 2.
• Spring Gala fundraiser to benefit the FCS annual fund will be on Saturday, April 27.
• IOWA standardized testing week is April 15-19. Do your best to have your children in school that week and arrive on time. Late students will not be permitted in class until the class finishes any pending assessments. Make up-tests are time consuming and students miss valuable classroom instructional time during make up testing. Make up testing for sickness will only be scheduled with a doctor’s note. Make up tests for travel will not be scheduled.

I’m so thankful to God that my worth does not lie in check marks on my to-do list or even in how I perceive myself. My weaknesses don’t define me — the God of the universe does!
