There’s still time to order your FCS yearbook! Yearbooks can only be purchased through the link below. The cost is $35. The deadline for placing your order is Friday, April 26. There will be no opportunity to purchase yearbooks after the deadline, so don’t miss out! Remember to keep the email confirmation you will receive, as that is your receipt. Next Week: IOWA standardized testing week is April 15-19. Do your best to have your children in school that week and arrive on time. Late students will not be permitted in class until the class finishes any pending assessments. Make up-tests are time consuming and students miss valuable classroom instructional time during make up testing. Make up testing for sickness will only be scheduled with a doctor’s note. Make up tests for travel will not be scheduled.
Saturday, May 4 is our annual Fundraising Gala to benefit the FCS Annual Fund. For more information, go to https://fcs.school/gala-of-light.
May 6-10 is Teacher Appreciation Week!
The last day of the fourth quarter is Wednesday, June 5. All fourth quarter work must be turned in by this day to receive credit.
Saturday, June 8 is our annual Spring Fling Community event sponsored by the FCS PTO.
Tuesday, June 11 is 8^th grade graduation and the last day for our 8^th graders.
Wednesday, June 12 is a half day and the last day of school.

This week, we had the privilege of dedicating our 2 playground memorial benches during a special ceremony. We invited the Hedrick and Neslen families and close friends to attend. We had about 40 guests come and third through fifth grade staff and students attended as well. It was a blessed time for all, with staff and friends sharing wonderful memories of these two souls who were a part of the FCS Community in years past. Pastor Foster closed us off with a special charge. Mr. Neslen was a former school board member, substitute, and grandfather. Tim Hedrick was a former graduate from the class of 2009. It was a great opportunity to teach our students that the special community they are a part of today has been around for 47 years and has ministered and blessed a lot of people.
