Updates and Happenings

• Vaccination update: The CDC has authorized the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-11. Parents should first check if their child’s pediatrician is providing the COVID vaccine. If not, an appointment can be made with another vaccine provider. Check this website for details https://montgomerycountymd.gov/covid19/vaccine/children.html 
• Clinical trials in children ages 5-11 years found the vaccine to be 90.7% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19. Please check with your child’s pediatrician if you are unsure about whether to vaccinate your child against Covid-19. The more people who are vaccinated in our building each day will result in fewer disruptions to in-person learning this year and beyond.
• If you or your business would like to make a year-end tax-deductible donation to Forcey Christian School, you can go to https://fcs.school/annual-fund/ and check out our goals and fundraising focus for the 2021-22 Annual Fund.
• Remember you can help support FCS while you shop at Amazon through smile.amazon.com. Just search for the Forcey Educational Association in the list of charities and shop Amazon through the smile link.
• FCS is pleased to kick off our annual Holiday Scrip Gift Card Fundraiser! During the weeks before Christmas, you have the opportunity to get some of your Christmas shopping done while supporting our school. • Parents, the last day to complete the Quarter 1 parent survey for grades K-8 will be on Friday November 26, 2021. For questions concerning the Quarter 1 parent survey contact terrance-lawrence@fcs.school

We so appreciate all of your support this week as we made a quick transition to remote learning for the week. It is our desire to keep students in school moving forward as much as possible. The more people who are vaccinated in our building each day will result in fewer disruptions to in-person learning this year and beyond. If you are uncertain about whether to vaccinate your child, please talk to your child’s pediatrician.
