  • My Day Out at Forcey has both job opportunities and spaces available in their 3’s class. MDO is for 2- and 3-year old’s, designed to give caregivers time off and children a structured time away from their primary caregivers.  This gives them time to play cooperatively with other children and prepare them for preschool. Our teachers are loving, Christian women who have a heart for children. MDO offers playtime, snack, Bible stories, singing, and craft time. We are open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am-1pm from mid-September to mid-May.  If you are interested in applying for a position or registering for a spot, visit us online at www.forcey.org/mdo.

New Staff Update:

  • Mrs. Thelma Hayes will be moving up from fourth grade to step into the 8th grade language arts role. She will also be teaching one section of 8th grade science. We are excited to welcome her experience and instructional strengths to our middle school program.
  • We are excited to announce that Dr. Erica Bates will be moving into a new role here at FCS as Director of Curriculum and ES Stem Teacher. Stem will be added to our ES program as an additional specials class for kindergarten through fifth grade students. With over 28 years of classroom experience and a Doctoral Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Erica Bates strives to generate in each student a joy of learning. She has a Maryland Educator Certificate in Early Childhood Education Pre-K-3rd grade and an Association of Christian Schools International Educator’s Certificate for the elementary level. Over the years she has developed a deep love for God and a calling to share His word through teaching. As a passionate and dedicated teacher, Erica continues to seek to apply her extensive experience and knowledge in the area of Early Childhood education to create stimulating and enriching learning environments that provide children with a solid educational and spiritual foundation. By utilizing effective teaching strategies and a Biblical worldview, Erica’s goal as the new STEM specialist is to have a positive impact on the students’ lives so they can take what they have learned and apply it to the real world successfully.
  • Mr. Maurice Morgan will join our middle school team as the 7th and 8th grade Bible teacher. He has twelve years of teaching experience and has previously taught Bible (MS/HS), Health (MS), and Physical Education (Elem./MS) and has coached MS Boys Basketball. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, listening to music, and walking. She feels blessed to be part of Forcey Christian School and looks forward to contributing to the growth and development of our second graders.

Our theme for the 2024-2025 school year is Becoming Like Jesus. This is based on our theme verse for the year, “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ” ~Colossians 1:28. While it is part of our mission to raise disciples and send students out from our school into the world prepared and mature in Christ, this year we will have a renewed focus on discipleship. Teaching our students who Jesus Christ is, what He did for us, and how to walk in relationship with him. We want our students to understand that we strive to live a Godly life not because we must but because it pleases Him. And it is through the daily relationship with Jesus that our motives and desires become unified with His. As we strive to teach and model discipleship and spiritual maturity with our students, we continue to carry out our vision to educate students in their lifelong journey for the glory of Jesus Christ.

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ” ~Colossians 1:28.
