Forcey news shares updates from the PTO. The PTO continues to recruit for room parents. You can visit fcs.school/pto-volunteer to sign up. The newsletter also shared some pics of Pre-K's Grandparents Day! Socktober begins Oct. 1st and run through Oct. 31st. Our goal is 4,000 socks, underwear, or diapers — so be sure to participate!

FCS News shares word of encouragement starting with this week in chapel. Guest speaker Ginny Lee spoke on "How do I get eternal life?" She shared a few key points. Discuss with your student the story of the rich young ruler in Mark 10:17-27. why was it hard for him to get eternal life? Principal Vislay shared about our first in-person Parent Teacher Organization meeting this week. It was a blessing to meet and fellowship together. She is honored to work alongside our wonderful parent community to support staff, students, and instructional resources for the the school. Be sure to visit fcs.school/pto. Recap: In order to access your student’s grades and homework, a FACTS Account must be set up. The Annual Fun Run is Oct. 18th, which benefits the Forcey Forward Annual Fund. Links to donate by classroom are live, so spread the news and get ready for some friendly competition in this highly anticipated event! As part of our Healthy Kids initiative, The Teddy Bear Clinic for our preschoolers is Oct 16th. Speaking of initiatives, Forcey will focus on 3 service projects this fall, including Socktober! It will run through Oct. 31st with a goal of 4,000 new socks, underwear, or diapers. Remember to check out the Calendar and the PTO Calendar for reminders and upcoming events. In this week’s chapel, Guest speaker Pastor Ian Howard shared three key points to help with the question, “How can we love ourselves as Christ loves us?” Principal Vislay wrapped up our newsletter and shared how she refreshes her spirit with Scripture. Remember to put on “the full armor of God!” – Ephesians 6:10-12
