New Staff for 2018

We would like to introduce our new FCS staff for 2018!

Mr. DeHavon Scott, Assistant Principal, has eight years of experience teaching music in both public and charter schools as well as additional experience as an assistant principal in a local Christian school. He has a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Organizational Leadership. Mr. Scott is married to his wife, Jennifer, and has a young son. He loves music, sports, and spending time with his family.

Albert Wong, MS Bible and Algebra I, is excited to be back at FCS after a year away doing theological studies at Reformed Theological Seminary. His passion to teach God’s Word and proclaim Christ from Scripture has grown over the past year. He hopes that God will use the next year to shape young minds for our Lord. One of his other personal goals for the year is to spend more time rock climbing with his girls.

Shelby Wiesman, First Grade is joining the FCS team to teach first grade! She will join the team with Mrs. Hayes and Mrs. Blackwell. She was born and raised in Maryland and has lived in Calvert, Montgomery, Washington, and Prince George’s Counties. In May of 2017, she graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Elementary Education. During her student teaching, she taught 1st grade in Beltsville, MD. After graduating, she worked on staff with a campus ministry at UMD and was a substitute teacher at FCS. She loves spending time with children as they learn, grown, question, and discover the amazing world our Lord has created. She’s looking forward to seeing all that God has planned for this school year!

Annie Passman, American History, World History, Yearbook, Introduction to Chinese: After graduating from University of Maryland with a B.S. in Elementary Education, Annie spent two years in China, teaching English as a second language as well as studying Mandarin Chinese. Before that, she did her student teaching at Paint Branch Elementary School in 6th grade. She is excited to be joining Forcey Christian School’s staff teaching 7th and 8th grade history, helping with the yearbook class, and offering an elective class in Beginner’s Chinese language and culture.

Amy Bresson, Elementary and Middle School PE: Amy is excited about starting this new journey as the k-6 physical education teacher at FCS! She recently finished her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Lynchburg College (now known as University of Lynchburg). She received a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education and a master’s degree in Special Education. During her undergraduate career, she completed a student teaching semester at an elementary school and a high school in Bedford, Virginia. While completing these requirements, she realized that teaching PE really was her passion. Other interests include playing/coaching softball, visiting Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia, and spending time with friends and family.

Grace Brock, Grade Spanish 7D: Grace was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She is the second of five sisters. Her primary language was Spanish until she entered Kindergarten when the family became a bilingual home. She attended DeVry University in Phoenix AZ. It is there that she met her husband, Scott. She has been blessed with two sons, Tyler and Joshua. Mr. Brock’s career with the Department of Defense brought them to the DC area 8 years ago. She halted her career to focus on raising her boys and volunteering at their schools. She is looking forward to this new phase of life. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to your child’s education as well as to the Forcey family.
